My Writing

I have shared elsewhere that I have wanted to be a writer ever since I was in the third grade. Interestingly, when reviewing my ancient yellowed report cards, I got a C in writing in the third grade. Hmm?

After many years, my first book was published in December 2012.

The book, entitled "A Time for Every Purpose Under Heaven: One Woman's Trip to Africa-My Story", is the memoir of my mission trip to Kenya in 2006. I had been writing it for three years, but only when I turned it over to God, did the book come together. For whatever reason - well, actually for God's reason and in God's time, it took that long to finish.

My publisher, Life Sentence Publishing, turned this unorganized binder into this beautiful book.

Sometime in 2010, I finished a short devotional book outlining the story of the birth of Christ. Life Sentence Publishing took that baby under their wing and "The Christmas Story in 40 Days" was published in November 2013.

But I didn't stop there. The same publisher cranked out "The Early Life of Jesus in 40 Days" the following year.

In the spring of 2015, I finished my first novel, the story of a young Maasai boy living in the Bush of Kenya. "Where the Sky Meets the Sand" is available on line.

I self-published "The Truth Beyond the River" in the summer of 2020 and "Prior to Now" in January of 2023. There is always another book incubating on my laptop and roaming around in my head.

Hopefully, some day soon, you will see my name at a book store near you. Chris Loehmer Kincaid
