Today I dropped both Val and her brother Nick off at O'Hare. A much different experience. A bit more chaotic and I never got to see their plane. I was already nearly two hours closer to home before they took off. I will miss them while they are gone.
This blog is named after my dog, Dino the wonder dog. Other than that, this blog doesn’t have a lot to do with him, except that some days, when I am just too busy or too tired or have a migraine, I let Dino write my blog for me. On days when he has not taken over the computer, I write about my life – the past, the present and the future - my travels far and near and my home. I would love it if you would follow along.

De Plane
I first posted this six years today, when my daughter Val left for Kenya to volunteer for six months. She left that time out of our small local airport where only a few planes take off each day. My husband and I were able to watch her plane until it disappeared in the sky.

Val's plane comes in
Val's plane boarding
Val's plane leaving the gate
Val's plane waiting to take off
And there she goes
