Are you missing anything?

A while back, I lost the R letter on my laptop at work. Luckily when it popped off the keyboard, it didn’t go far. I wasn’t able to pop it back on so I put it in my drawer for safekeeping until the tech support person came around later in the week. With her skinny fingers and long fingernails, she was able to snap my R right back onto my computer. But it was surprising how many times in a day I need to type the letter R.

It seems like things are always missing in our life – there’s not enough money to pay the bills, we can’t find an important piece of paper, we run out of time by the end of the day to get done everything we needed to do, we are missing more than just one letter on our keyboard.

On days like that, we need to remember the one thing that is not missing from our life. That would be an eternal Savior who will always be at our side. He can’t – and he won’t – pop off of our keyboard. He is here to stay.

Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock. Matthew 7:7-8 Good News Translation
